I’m Daniel Montiglio the founder of Foreigner BG, I’m a Chilean immigrant that has been living during the last 15 years in Bulgaria.
Back in 2004 when I first visit the country information about emigration to Bulgaria was basically inexisting, and the administrative staff at the immigration office didn’t speak much English at that time.
I thought the situation will change when Bulgaria becomes a member of the European Union, and also with the massive use of the internet, but unfortunately wasn’t that way and still, today is a challenge to get information if you want to move to Bulgaria.
My university studies are in the field of Public Administration and Political Sciences, a background that helps me to understand the logic of international immigration not only from the immigrant perspective but also from the government’s point of view.
The FOREIGNER BG project started in February 2018 and is where expats in Bulgaria can find an expert, practical advice on how to start a new life in Bulgaria. Our goal is to help you get a stress free and informed transition to your new country.
