Señor Carlos Arellano, A Proud Mexican In Bulgaria

Today in Expats Stories we have the pleasure to introduce to you our friend Carlos Arellano, who has been living happily in Bulgaria during the last 12 years, he came once for vacation and after falling in love with the country decide to move to  Bulgaria.

Carlos Arellano from Mexico.

Tell us a bit about you and what you do:

I’m from Mexico City living happily in Sofia. I’m event manager and Ambassador of InterNations, I organize events every week for expats groups. Also, I’m proud to represent Mexico in some international events in Bulgaria.

Why and when did you come to Bulgaria?

First time I came to Bulgaria was 12 years ago for Summer vacation and liked the country very much so I decided to live in Sofia!

 

What are some differences between your country and Bulgaria?

There are some differences like Mexico is a bigger country than Bulgaria. but on the other side, Bulgaria is safer than Mexico. But I like Bulgaria because the people are very welcoming.

What do you like about Bulgaria?

I like Bulgaria because it’s a nice country with mountains, beautiful towns like Varna, Plovdiv, Veliko Tarnovo, Nessebar etc. I also like their food, Rakia, and wine!

What was the most difficult bureaucratic procedure you have undergone so far in Bulgaria?

So far I haven’t undergone a difficult bureaucratic. procedure. Lucky me.

Mention one important experience you’ve had in Bulgaria :

The important experience I have been to represent Mexico for the last 10 years at the IWC X-Mas Charity Bazaar. And this makes me very proud.

What languages do you speak other than your mother tongue?

English and little German

What countries have you been to?

I’m been to Peru, Chile, and Austria

How is your business going?

I work as an Event Manager, and everything is going very well, people already know the way I work and constantly look for my services,  private parties, catering and all kind of events.

What advice would you give to other people who would like to come to live in Bulgaria?

My advice would be Amig@s come to Bulgaria is a fantastic country where you can find colorful towns, great beaches, nice ski resorts, tasty food friendly people who will make feel like at home!
