You may travel to Varna all year long, the city has its special charm during each season, The summer begins in late May and lasts till middle of september. Temperatures in summer usually vary between 25 C and 35 degrees C. The hottest months are usually July and August, with temperature around 30 – 35°C, so it’s the perfect climate to go to the beach and enjoy the sun. Seawater temperature during the summer months is usually around 23–27 degrees C.
Fall season in Varna it’s Espectacular by itself, with all parks and beautiful green areas turning into magical colors, weather is still nice and you can enjoy the much relaxed scenery.
Winter is softer than most of Bulgaria, with just a few days of snow during the season, make Varna a interesting destination for you winter break.
Spring, this is my favorite season, sudently everything becomes green, days get longer and quckly the pemperature start to raise, and as the temperature pick up, you will see people in the parks and all outdoor spaces of the town.
2-Landscape
Varna is well know as a coastal town, and the Bulgarian maritime capital, but Varna is much more than just beaches and summer resorts, there is in Varna the only desert in Bulgaria called “Pobiti Kamani” where you can see impressive rock formations from millions of years ago.
Rural tourism is also well developed in the region, you can find water springs, beautiful forests, a nice developed tourist infrastructure keeping the roots of Bulgarian traditions, then you have restaurants where you can listen traditional music, ride a horse, fish in a private lake, or just walk the beautiful surroundings.
3-Safety
As a tourist town authorities are always interested in keeping the town safety for locals and visitors, many people, especially the young ones speaks foreigner languages and will be ready to give you directions and help you to orientate in town, varna and Bulgaria are considered safe places for tourist, just make sure that you are careful with your belongings.
4-Connectivity
Few years ago Varna start a plan to become an all year destination, in those talks participated: local and regional authorities, tourist companies, hotels, restaurants and transport operators. This something that have been improved greatly during the last few years, doesn’t matter if you are fan Theater, ballet, Opera, concerts, Cinema or even Profesional football, Varna will provide you with a number of activities that will fulfil your interest.

Travelling with children, no problem, besides the excellent with sand beaches Varna has a Dolphinarium with shows everyday and an Aquarium that you can visit both in the Sea garden.

Varna in particular and Bulgaria in general still remains a very affordable destination, if you compare it with any similar coastal destination in Europe, Varna is a place where you can enjoy pleasures without to necessarily expend too much. The city has many places to discover that don’t require an entry fee, you can walk around downtown of city and found something of interest in almost every corner. So If you enjoy walking yourself around Varna is a city where you can reach most of the places of interest just walking your way in.
