Which is The Happiest Country in the World this 2019?

One more time Finland is the happiest country in the world, nothing unusual for those who closely follow this type of polls, where normally the Nordic and Scandinavian countries are those who occupy the first places.

The 2019 World Happiness Report of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network ranked 156 countries according to scores in terms of GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, social freedom, generosity and freedom from corruption.

The list is led by the Nordic countries – Finland, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Sweden – while Switzerland and the Netherlands, European countries, also occupied the first 10 first places. The only non-European countries that entered the top 10 list were Canada and New Zealand.

At the same time, we have to mention that Bulgaria is the less happy countries in the European Union, and only Albania is less happy than Bulgaria in Europe.

The 10 happiest countries of 2019 ( Ranking of Happiness)

1. Finland (7.769)
2. Denmark (7.600)
3. Norway (7.554)
4. Iceland (7.494)
5. Netherlands (7.488)
6. Switzerland (7.480)
7. Sweden (7.343)
8. New Zealand (7.307)
9. Canada (7.278)
10. Austria (7.246)

And, where is Bulgaria?

The first 10 on the list are pretty much what we would expect, but if we ask which are the countries that have improved the most in the survey we see that Benin, Nicaragua, and Bulgaria are the countries that have climbed the most from the period 2005-208 to 2016-2018.

While those who fell the most during the same period were Venezuela, Syria, and Botswana.

Also is important to point that Bulgaria improves 3 spots in the Ranking passing from the 100th position in 2018 to the 97th position in 2019, the survey covers 156 countries, Bulgaria slowly but steadily improves on the rating since the first study was released on 2012.

At the same time, we have to realize that the levels of happiness or sadness that depend on hard pacts but also on the perspective of each person that fill up the survey, there are always those who with the tendency to see the glass half full or half empty.
