Name and nationality:
Cirze Colas Cano, Cuban and Macedonian nacionality.
Why and when did you come to Bulgaria?
The first time I visited Bulgaria was in 2010 we went on vacation and to accompany my husband who worked at Golden Sands, and since 2013 we lived the whole family in Varna.
What do you like about your country?
From Cuba, I like that people are very friendly, they are very familiar and cheerful, I also like the weather, the beach.
What differences do you see in your country and Bulgaria?
The biggest difference I see is that not only in Bulgaria but in many countries in Europe people are also cooler and more reserved, and I also notice that they worry too much about the material things, in Cuba, even though the material conditions are hard, we do not get bitter about that and keep our joy.
What do you like about Bulgaria?
I like Bulgaria very much, I have interacted here with lots of kind people, besides nature, its beaches, and mountains, safety is very important for me since I have kids, and the education that despite being public is good and with discipline.
Mention an important experience you’ve had in Bulgaria
Bulgaria has given me the opportunity to grow in professional terms, I have had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge in the area of sports animation, which allows me to do Zumba classes in one of the best gyms in Varna, besides the possibility of developing my other areas of interest is cosmetics, which I studied here in Varna and that at the moment allows me to work on what I like and keep me motivated!
Do you speak other languages?
My native language is Spanish and I also speak English, Bulgarian and Macedonian.
Have you visited other countries?
If, in addition to living in Cuba, I have lived in Macedonia for 5 years and visited many countries in Europe, such as Italy, Spain, Portugal, Tunisia, and others.
What advice would you give to other people who would like to come to Bulgaria?
I would recommend them first, do not be scared of the winter since spring always comes after, and secondly, do not impose barriers to yourself, try to integrate into society, try to learn the language, look for a job, the Bulgarians are very kind when they see that you respect their traditions and have an interest in integrating into society.
