In this interview with my good friend Tayo, who came from the United Kingdom to study at the Varna Medical University, and today he will share his experience in Bulgaria with foreigner.bg and we want to thank you for taking time and answering our questions!
Name and nationality:
My name is Tayo Olukoya, and I’m UK citizen.
Tell us a bit about you?
I believe I can say I am a calm, open minded person. I am family oriented person and always seeking new challenges.
Why you decide to study in Bulgaria?
I heard Bulgaria is a great place for holidays so why not live there ? I actually have family feuds here studying, I visited and decided to study here (following my dreams and new challenge).
When did you come to Bulgaria?
I came here early summer 2014.
What do you like about your country?
UK is much warmer, compassionate, equal opportunity and of course the best country in the world 🙂.
What differences do you see in your country and Bulgaria?
I believe Bulgarians should improve in been more courteous and open minded.
What do you like about Bulgaria?
I like the Culture, the native beer and of course the Black Sea.
Mention one important experience you’ve had in Bulgaria
Best experience would be with my landlord (a great person) but the most extraordinary one was when I took a taxi to the hospital for a 8am class, I had no change (only 50 levs note on me), the taxi driver asked me not to worry about it. I was stunned, never ran path with him since then. Bless him.
Do you speak other languages?
I only speak English for now.
What advice would you give to other people who would like to come to live in Bulgaria?
I would advise anyone to be free and excited to visit Bulgaria is a nice place to be, live and relax. I believe it’s also a great place to invest because it a growing country with good manpower. Education is recognized in the EU and some other countries even outside the EU.
Education isn’t bad like some people think.
