The largest and first-ever cultural-historical and entertainment educational park of this kind in the world will open doors in Bulgaria in just a few weeks it will be the inauguration of the second stage of The Historical Park.
The attraction is built in stages, with the historic Neolithic Settlement built in 2016 and the whole site is planned to be fully functional in 2022, and the construction of the first phase – Chalcolithic, Neolithic and Thracian, and the Lake Resting Area is getting ready now when the Park will officially open visitors’ doors.
In the Historical Park visitors, are part of a whole new experience and adventure, and you will learn from Bulgarian history, life, military, and social system of the diversity of people who inhabited Bulgarian land.
Visitors will see the authentic architecture, historical monuments, and records, also real historical performances, treasure replicas, even natural food and dishes made on ancient recipes, and the complex will offer accommodation in guesthouses with special and historical themed furniture.
The Historical Park is the new, exciting and a massive cultural, historical object and is placed in the village of Neofit Rilski, in Vetrino municipality, about 35 km west of Varna. The location is very comfortable since it is near the E70 international highway (Highway Hemus), just 25 km from the Varna Airport, 35 km from Port of Varna, about 150 km from ports of Bourgas and Rousse, and near all Black Sea resorts.
In the Historical Park, the spirit of different ages is presented in an intelligible way.
Ancient Balkan population, the oldest golden treasure of the world in Varna Chalcolithic Necropolis – 7,000 years BC;
Ancient Thracians and the Odrysian kingdom V – I ages BC;
Roman invaders and the civilization of the Roman empire on our land – 45-46 AD;
Bulgarians and Slavs finally conquered the Balkan peninsula at the end of VII century AD (680/681) and created a new civilization divided into First and Second Bulgarian Kingdoms.
The Historical Park will be officially opened on June 22, this year. Tourist can visit Neolithic and Chalcolithic settlement, the Thracian temple, three Thracian tombs – one of them with glass floor you can see the ritual funeral of a Thracian ruler, Thracian palace, early Medieval settlement, Bulgarian aul from VII century AD and Baba Vida medieval fortress. There will be an area for interactive activities, also lakes of 10 acres in total and two restaurants that will offer authentic Thracian and Bulgarian food.
The next stage will be ready in 2020 and it is about the First Bulgarian Kingdom. The opening of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom will be in 2021. Further stages are for ancient Rome.
